Jordan Hall receives University of Colorado Denver Graduate School Distinguished Service Award.
Graduate School May 31, 2019Denver, Colorado – Jordan Hall, graduate student in the Department of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver, received the prestigious honor of the Graduate School Distinguished Service Award.
This award recognizes the graduate student who demonstrated outstanding service to making a difference. The award recipient is a student who has volunteered their time to enrich the diversity and inclusiveness of the University of Colorado Denver campus and demonstrated availability peer support or provided service to their fellow students and the community.
Hall’s nominators shared, “In every activity, Mr. Hall has risen above and beyond the work asked of him. He has given his time and energy willingly and excitedly to help our students succeed and has improved the overall mission of our department and university. He has a talent for working with students at all levels (gateway courses, major courses, graduate students, etc.) and is an amazing educator and passionate advocate for students and student success.”
Hall was nominated by Stephanie A. Santorico, PhD, professor and director of statistical programs, Graduate Program Co-Director, and Michael Ferrara, PhD, professor of mathematical and statistical sciences, Graduate Program Co-Director.
In closing his nomination reads, “He gives tirelessly to CU Denver students and the larger Colorado student research community, contributes extensively to the service mission at CU Denver through conference and seminar organization, community building and mentoring, and throughout places an emphasis on equity and research-based pedagogical practice.”
