Rawaa Abdulrahman

Program Administrator, Biomedical Science and Biotechnology Program

Rawaa is responsible for all aspects of administrative management for the Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology Master’s program at the Graduate School. She earned her BBA in Marketing from CU Denver. Rawaa enjoys building relationships with students and supporting them throughout their academic journey. Born in Baghdad and raised in Colorado, she is passionate about advocating for Arab culture and representation. In her free time, she enjoys photography, road trips, reading, and discovering new matcha and boba spots.

Teresa Bauer-Sogi

Director, Academic and Student Services
Service Area(s): Academic Services
Director of Academic Services for MS, PhD, certificate and non-degree students. Ensures consistent and equitable application of Graduate School policies, procedures, and practices. Manages the admissions, matriculation, student progression and degree audit/award processes for the Graduate School from admissions through graduation.

Matthew Berta

IT Senior Professional
Service Area(s): Information Technology
Matthew handles many IT-related tasks in the Graduate School, including server management, application support, Flight Tracker management, and process development. He also provides general IT support for Graduate School staff, and serves as the system administrator for the Graduate School's computing devices.

Justin Brown

Principal Professional of Application Technology and Program Support
Service Area(s): Academic Services, CRM Management
Manages application and CRM systems, processing of graduate application materials, analysis and tracking of admissions data, and administrative support of graduate programs and certificates administered by the Graduate School.

Erin Golden PhD

Assistant Director, Postdoctoral Office
Service Area(s): Postdoctoral Affairs, Mentoring, Training Grants
Erin is the Assistant Director of the Postdoctoral Office, where she supports postdocs and their mentors through community-building initiatives, policy development, and campus-wide programming. She earned her BA in Neuroscience from Franklin & Marshall College, her PhD in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology at CU Anschutz. Erin is passionate about science communication and helping researchers connect their work to broader communities. Originally from Boston, she still talks fast and drinks iced coffee year-round. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Colorado with her husband and daughter, training for sprint triathlons, and finding new ways to make science more accessible.

Kristin Goosen MS

Assistant Director, Marketing & Communications

Kristin is a creative and strategic storyteller managing marketing and communications initiatives for the Graduate School and graduate programs. She received her BA in Communication from the University of Minnesota Duluth and her MS in Marketing from CU Denver. Originally from Crookston, MN, she misses her Midwest lakeshores, but is enjoying the other outdoor wonders Colorado has to offer. You’re most likely to find her with her cattle dog, Maisie, hiking one of the many trails surrounding Denver.

Carol Hadd

Executive Assistant to the Dean

Carol is a Western Girl, growing up in the Arizona desert and moving to Colorado more than 40 years ago. She likes to help with various projects whenever possible with her job duties ranging from keeping a busy Dean and Team on track to processing Graduate Faculty Appointments and coordinating official functions for the Graduate School. A wanna-be gourmet cook who can’t seem to follow a recipe, she insists on adding and enjoying different ingredients and flavors to foods much like adding and enjoying different experiences in life.

Hannah Hathaway PhD

Program Manager, Career Development Office

Hannah designs workshops and programs to help graduate students and postdocs explore and prepare for the many career paths available in science. Hannah earned her BA in Biochemistry and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from CU Boulder, her PhD in Pharmacology from Georgetown University, and completed her postdoctoral training here at CU Anschutz. After her postdoc, she dove into teaching biology - from high school to undergraduates - and still moonlights as an adjunct instructor. Teaching is her passion, and she enjoys using those skills to help early-career scientists navigate their next steps. Outside of work, Hannah loves reading, going to ballet class, listening to metal, and tackling escape rooms - ask her for recommendations; she's been to nearly every one in the Denver area!

Bruce Mandt PhD

Associate Dean and Director, Postdoctoral Office and Career Development Office

Bruce provides leadership and direction for programs that support graduate student and postdoctoral scholars’ career development and general support for all aspects of graduate and postdoctoral training. He doesn’t hide his Wisconsin roots (Go Badgers!) but has been fully immersed in Colorado life for over 20 years and enjoys everything the state has to offer.

Maddie Parker

Principal Professional, Academic Services

Maddie supports students through the admissions and student progression process as they enter and leave the university. Maddie earned her BA from the University of Denver in English and Socio-Legal studies and is currently pursuing her MA in Leadership for Higher Education at CU Denver. Outside of work, Maddie enjoys reading, hiking, crafting, and playing board games with her friends.

Responsible for overall operations of the Anschutz Graduate School and interactions with the central administration and other Schools, College and units in CU Anschutz.

Patricia Tanner

Responsible for all aspects of administrative management for the Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology master’s programs and the graduate certificates in Biomedical Sciences and Research Management and Compliance. Responsible for coordination of official functions for the Graduate School, including spring and fall commencement.
